“ In the Shadows ”
Last year I planted some ornamental kale. Normally this variety is good for only one season, but one of the plants went to seed. Now as we approach December, under a layer of leaves, I found a new plant just a foot from where last year's kale was planted. I loved how the light and shadows were hitting the leaves with the low afternoon sun. I also liked how this reminded me more of sea coral than just a plant.
