“Respect”
This week was the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment giving women the vote in the United States of America. Pre-COVID I had several different functions to pay homage to the suffragists, their battle for women's rights, and the passage of the amendment - with COVID none of those happened, but I still wanted to remember and reflect upon the anniversary. History is important to remember. Sometimes wrongs have to be fixed - the 19th Amendment fixed one. To all the women who had to fight for the right to be heard, I salute you, I remember your battle, and I will not forget that my great-great-grandmothers didn't have the right until later in their lives.
