“The Cool Wait”
I try to imagine what this train station was like in the day that it operated. The tracks are barely noticeable in a very select few areas. I'm not sure if anyone even goes in this building these days, but it's only a 100 yards off a main thoroughfare and stands feet from the side road you can see at the bottom of this photo. I've always loved the corbels and the mixed directions of the siding - such class. With the winter sun at high noon there's this cool blue shade on the northwest side, hinting that it is still a cool day despite it being warm for the season. In the summer I am sure the shade brings welcome relief while waiting - just don't be waiting for the train that will never come again.
