My second entry into the 52Frames weekly challenge. I have to admit that I had grand plans to photograph our nation's most iconic buildings while I was in DC last Thursday. The problem occured when I wasn't able to go to DC and so I forgot about the challenge. Thankfully my friend Marco reminded me on Sunday (the last day of each challenge) and then I ran around the house taking photos of different architectural components. This was the photo that jumped out at me the most.
My #52Frames entry:
Titled: "Competing Styles"
I've always found this corner of the house to be competitive between the materials. Somedays I find the wood winning on beauty and texture, but most days the brick is warmer and more interesting. I've always found "additions" bring conflicts in the original architecture and this one speaks volumes to me.
